DVDs Data Recovery, DVD Data Recovery

Data recovery from DVDs

  • DVDs
  • DVD-R
  • DVD-RW

Like CD's, DVD's are also being used for back-up and storage of files. DVD's become unreadable for a the same reasons as CD as the technology is similar. Mainly because of physical damage to the reflective surface. Damage, scuffs, fingerprints, and scratches on the surface of DVD's, can result in the entire DVD not being accessible any more.

Some error messages generated when trying to open a corrupt DVD are:

  • d:\ is not accessible (where d:\ is your DVD drive)
  • Incorrect function
  • The computer freezes whilst trying to access the DVD

Recovered data is returned on DVD-R.
