Toshiba Hard Disk Data Recovery.

Toshiba Data Recovery Looking at our statistics for Toshiba drives we found two areas where problems are more likely.
|
Toshiba - Seized motors
In 2003 When we first noted that there was a problem, data recovery on Zone Bit Recorded (ZBR) drives with seized motors with more than one platter was considered almost impossible throughout the trade. Modern hard disks store the data in 'Zones' each zone is usually a few thousand sectors. So the first part of a file is stored on the first platter, the next part of the file on the second platter, etc. So vertical platter alignment and concentricity is critical when recovering data from multi-platter drives.
Because of the number of drives we were seeing with this problem we set about developing a rig so that we could perform this feat. We hired a local engineering company, developed a prototype and then the rig that made us the first data recovery company that could recover data from drives with this problem.
because of the success of this project, we further developed the technology to recover data from any Laptop or Desktop drive where platter removal was necessary.
Toshiba - Failed Head Pre amps
This requires either the removal and replacement of the head amp or replacement of the entire head stack assembly. The head pre-amplifier is a small circuit inside the drive casing and converts the voltages received from the read-heads, removes noise resulting with a clean signal that is then passed on to the main circuit board for processing. When the head pre-amp fails, the symptoms are regular clicking or tick noises coming from the hard disk.
Usually in both cases, all data is recoverable. However, if it is not possible, then we don't charge.
