Fujitsu Hard Drive Data Recovery, Fujitsu Hard Disk Drives Data Recovery

Fujitsu® hard disks are generally reliable drives. However, with the MPG and MPF series of drives, we noticed a significant rise in the number of drives requiring data recovery.

 

As soon as the drives started arriving - in August and October 2001, our research department set to work on writing software and developing advanced techniques to resolve the issue. This was fully completed in November 2001 and have since then recovered over 1,000 of these drives using our in house procedures.

 

The problem affects the following MPG and MPF series of drives;

  • MPG 5400 RPM Series of Drive
    MPG3102AT, MPG3153AT, MPG3204AT, MPG3307AT, MPG3409AT
  • MPG 7200 RPM Series of Drives
    MPG3102AH, MPG3204AH, MPG3307AH, MPG3409AH
  • MPF 5400 RPM Series of Drives
    MPF3102AT, MPF3153AT, MPF3204AT
  • MPF 7200 RPM Series of Drives
    MPF3102AH, MPF3153AH, MPF3204AH

The affected drives usually show one of the following symptoms;

 

  • The drive spins normally but does not come ready.
  • The drive spins but here is a clicking noise.
  • The drive does not spin at all.
